Meeting – March 2018
February 8th, 2018Our next meeting at St Saviour’s Church Hall is on Tuesday 6th March 2018 at 8.00pm with a presentation by Derek Clarke RIBA entitled “The Repair of the Old Royal Naval College at Greenwich”.
Derek’s architectural practice was asked to oversee the restoration of the Old Royal Naval College situated on the banks of the Thames at Greenwich and he was deputed to pay weekly site visits throughout the project. The College was originally built between 1696-1712 by Sir Christopher Wren and the Clerk of Works was Nicholas Hawksmoor.
