Car Outing to St Mary’s Church Tower, Kidderminster – Saturday 27th April 2013

This outing will follow on from our April 2013 meeting ‘Bells: a History and some Local Examples’ by David Struckett.

We meet at the church at 10am for a 2 hour tour of the ringing room, clock room, bell chamber and roof.  The tour includes a demonstration of ringing, video of other bell types and the opportunity for one or two volunteers to ‘handle a bell’.  Maximum 24 participants who must be able to at least climb the first flight (42 steps) of a spiral staircase.  Afterwards lunch is at the Watermill (Stourport Road) where light meals are under £5 and main meals and specials are two for the price of one.

The cost of the tour is £3.
