Many years ago, shops were located near the junction of Bromsgrove Road and Hall Lane, on the eastern end of School Lane, in Bromsgrove Road, on Birmingham Road near its junction with Bromsgrove Road and along Stourbridge Road. The original post office before West Hagley existed and its successor.
