{"id":1362,"date":"2013-05-22T09:00:54","date_gmt":"2013-05-22T08:00:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hhfs.org.uk\/hhfs\/?p=1362"},"modified":"2013-06-22T21:26:19","modified_gmt":"2013-06-22T20:26:19","slug":"coach-trip-to-the-hive-and-elgar-birthplace-museum-wednesday-19th-june-2013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hhfs.org.uk\/hhfs\/?p=1362","title":{"rendered":"Coach Trip to The Hive and Elgar Birthplace Museum &#8211; Wednesday 19th June 2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This outing follows on from our May 2013 meeting &#8216;The Work of the Worcestershire Archive &amp; Archaeology Service&#8217; by Paul Hudson.<\/p>\n<p>Our coach leaves Webbs Garden Centre at 10am and picks up at the village car park at 10.05am.<\/p>\n<p>The Hive houses the new County Archive and Archaeology Service.\u00a0 Our 90 minute tour includes the &#8216;Explore the Past&#8217; floor with the original document and self-service areas and the Historic Environment Record plus a &#8216;behind the scenes&#8217; tour of the strongrooms, conservation room, archaeological finds and the work of the specialist archaeology staff.\u00a0 This is followed by a lunch of sandwiches, crisps, cakes, tea and coffee at the Elgar Birthplace Museum.\u00a0 A 20 minute video will be followed by free time to explore the Museum.\u00a0 We return to Hagley for about 4pm.<\/p>\n<p>The cost of the trip is \u00a323.50 which includes coach fare, tour, entrance to the Elgar Museum, lunch and tips.\u00a0 Car parking has been arranged at Webbs Garden Centre at a cost of \u00a31 per car, to be collected on the day.\u00a0 Limited to 40 participants.\u00a0 Please <a href=\"https:\/\/hhfs.org.uk\/hhfs\/?page_id=47\">contact us<\/a> if you want to join the visit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This outing follows on from our May 2013 meeting &#8216;The Work of the Worcestershire Archive &amp; Archaeology Service&#8217; by Paul Hudson.
