This outing follows on from our May 2013 meeting ‘The Work of the Worcestershire Archive & Archaeology Service’ by Paul Hudson.<\/p>\n
Our coach leaves Webbs Garden Centre at 10am and picks up at the village car park at 10.05am.<\/p>\n
The Hive houses the new County Archive and Archaeology Service.\u00a0 Our 90 minute tour includes the ‘Explore the Past’ floor with the original document and self-service areas and the Historic Environment Record plus a ‘behind the scenes’ tour of the strongrooms, conservation room, archaeological finds and the work of the specialist archaeology staff.\u00a0 This is followed by a lunch of sandwiches, crisps, cakes, tea and coffee at the Elgar Birthplace Museum.\u00a0 A 20 minute video will be followed by free time to explore the Museum.\u00a0 We return to Hagley for about 4pm.<\/p>\n
